I have always had a love for music, and been passionate about the performing arts. Upon graduation from The University of Birmingham with an honours degree in Music, I began teaching immediately and studied for a PGCE-Masters in Education.

I currently teach piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute and singing. I've taught in schools (primary and secondary) and taught privately for 20 years, 14 of which have been in Cornwall. Creativity plays a big role in what I do; I create all my own teaching materials, composing the music, thinking of ways to make lessons inspiring, engaging and relevant... it makes every day different, and I really enjoy teaching, watching my students learn, progress, grow, and enjoy the arts themselves!

My other main interests are travel, (especially Italy, and learning Italian!) photography, cuisine, and my miniature dachshund Frank. My creative retreats are a combination of my passion for travelling, my love for teaching and my flair for organisation and attention to detail!
